the problem
Restaurant owners spend a lot of money building a website through agencies or uploading images as a menu to their website, which doesn’t look good on mobile and isn’t search-friendly.
Research
Conducted user interviews to understand different restaurant menu types, their needs, pain points, and the flexibility required.

I have researched both online and offline for inspiration on menus in various styles, from old to new, Gotham to serif ranging from classic designs with crucial information to modern layouts with images and dish variations.
Early Stage
The first version of Menus in the dashboard was a ‘slim version.’
All menus were displayed on the same page, with in-place editing for all items. However, dishes had added complexity due to dish options, so I decided to open them in a modal.

The Menus app comes with nine different layouts for users to choose from, customize including fonts and colors and select from various display options optimized for mobile.
